SMCGC October meeting

I quite like these small gatherings, although of course we’d welcome anyone who came along to them. Yesterday evening the Social Media Club Gold Coast met at Broadbeach Library. It’s great to have a conveniently located, free, meeting place courtesy of the Gold Coast Library Service.

The theme was the use of social media in Universities. Michael Rees talked about his use of Twitter, blogs, wikis and more in teaching and I followed up with an overview of some non-teaching uses of social media in higher education.
