Wibiya toolbar trial

If you are reading this in a feed reader you won't be able to see the Wibiya toolbar I've installed on this blog. If you are reading this via the blog site, then you will probably have seen a notification pop up on the site and may have taken a look at the utilities appearing at the bottom of the page.

Wibiya adds some social media tools to the page.

The toolbar adds the following to the page:
  1. blog search and web search box
  2. twitters by me and about "inn0vate" (keyword)
  3. rss subscription button
  4. translate this page feature
  5. recent posts
  6. random post
  7. sharing utility
  8. notifications
  9. Facebook integration
and some other options I haven't bothered with.

Wibiya is currently in beta - I had to wait a couple of days for my account to be created.

The wibiya bar can be hidden by users if it gets in the way.
On the Wibiya site I can get some statistics about the usage of the features.

Would love to hear what you think of this - so please visit the site even if you don't usually visit it, try out the features and leave a comment.

Hmmm...doesn't seem to be showing up for me...using FF 3.0.15.

OK, this is an obvious question, but just asking - have you got javascript enabled? Does it work for you on the wibiya site?

Yep, got javascript enabled. And...I just revisited your site and now it works. I got the notification message and can see the toolbar at the bottom of my session screen.

I suspect the problem is that I have to click on the notification panel in order to progress. However, the notification panel disappears after a certain time period. When I tried previously, I was working through my reader, clicking on interesting links and so forth. Once I was done, I then went and had a look at the links. My suspicion is that by the time I got to your page, the notification had disappeared and consequently my ability to see the toolbar.
