What is a glog

I found glogs today, and then I found edu glogs.

Glogster provides an online poster creator, which enables video and audio to be added to the poster. There is a gallery of graphics available, but users can upload their own images and media. Users can record video and audio directly at the site.

Glogster also offers EDU glogs and has a few examples of student work. I threw this one together so I could try it out --  ideas for edu glogs | Glogster

Sp my son showed this to me today and I found it intriguing. I own an ad agency/web firm and find this an interesting form of self expression. Do you se this as a new form of web site or is this more of a toy of sorts?
