A vision of the future at an iPhone university

Abilene Christian University has distributed Apple iPhones and iPod Touches to a cohort of incoming students. The initiative connects students and staff to the campus through maps, news and events, and directories. A video has been made of a "fictional" day in the life that answers the question "What might a university look like with a fully deployed program of converged devices like the iPhone?". I wonder how far off this kind of vision really is.
