For some time now, I have had dual monitors at work. An ideal scenario for the kind of work I do using multiple applications, server sessions and user interfaces etc.
Today I spent some time at work and also some time at home carrying out the same tasks and it really brought home to me just how much I have come to rely on the dual monitors. At home I was stuck with a single monitor and within a Citrix client (80% of screen real estate) trying to do the same thing I would do across two monitors at work.
Aaagh! Dual monitors make a serious contribution to productivity.

Using a spreadsheet listing filenames and trying to compare two versions of the files.
